The Pantanassa Monastery on Mangrove Mountain, outside of Sydney, Australia looks like it was built in the typical 5th century Byzantine architectural style. But Design Delta Architects actually created Australia’s first Greek Orthodox monastery with modern materials: the domes and cross vaults were formed with either Styrofoam or sheet steel.
