The folks here at Signature Exteriors tend to focus mostly on what's on the outside — after all, that is our business. But when we came across this story about local designer Shelah McClymont of Glendale, MO, we just had to share!

With an offbeat sense of humor and a knack for making things by hand, McClymont never thought she could make a full-time living out of these skills. Now with her great ideas and good connections, she has been selling her handmade products for those who call themselves "Unhappy Campers."

These items include coffee mugs, necklace tags and blankets, and are to celebrate all those people who prefer staying indoors. Some great quotes you'll find on her crafts include "The best part of leaving is coming home" and "Unhappy camper." Genius!

Staying Social

Along with connections made at craft fairs, McClymont also does a lot of online marketing through social media. A recent promotion on Instagram was very successful, and she is already thinking of ideas for the holiday season.
