The Hendee-Borg House is a symmetrical saw-tooth roof house, designed by Boston architect William O'Brien and built in Sonoma, CA. A saw-tooth roof is made up of ridges with dual pitches in order to admit natural light into the building. This type of roof goes back to the 19th century when they didn't have artificial light and so this style admitted sunlight into large-scale buildings like factories.
