Roofing Wednesdays: Sydney Opera House

The Sydney Opera House was created by Denmark architect Jørn Utzon in 1955 after beating out 233 other entries in a design competition. The iconic roof is made of 1,056,000 glazed white granite tiles and are self-cleaning (phew!) and the entire building took 14 years to complete.
